SUMMARY:Restorative Justice Webinar-Responding to Students One-on-One Using Restorative Conversations
DESCRIPTION:Monday\, March 13th at 3:00pm\nThis workshop will provide participants with a restorative framework to lean into when faced with challenging student behavior. This advanced workshop will build on participants’ existing knowledge and application of restorative justice principles. Topics will include cultivating our awareness of our internal judge and jury to remain curious about others’ experiences and explanations for their behavior; understanding the use of restorative questions when engaging students about their behavior in one-to-one private conversations; and having the opportunity to practice these restorative conversations using a simple script. \n\nEach session is between 90 and 120 minutes; all webinars will be held using Zoom video conferencing.\nFor detailed descriptions of each webinar and registration information\, please see the attached flyer.\nPlease email questions to rjtraining@nycourts.gov.
