SUMMARY:Success in Sight: Strategic Counseling Practices to Boost Academic & Social Development
DESCRIPTION:Student success requires more than instruction—it demands intentional\, data-informed\, and developmentally appropriate support that addresses the whole child. This 90-minute interactive workshop equips school counselors with practical strategies to enhance academic and social/emotional development using ASCA’s Mindsets & Behaviors and a multitiered system of supports (MTSS). Counselors will learn to analyze disaggregated data\, identify student needs\, and design equitable Tier 1–3 interventions across K–12. Through hands-on activities\, case scenarios\, and collaborative planning\, participants will gain tools to enhance motivation\, engagement\, and well-being. Counselors will leave with a tiered intervention planning template\, sample lessons\, and equity-focused strategies ready for implementation. Most importantly\, attendees will gain renewed clarity and confidence in their role as leaders who foster inclusive environments and drive student success across academic and SEL domains. Objectives: After this session\, participants will be able to: \n1. Apply ASCA-aligned academic and social/emotional interventions across the MTSS tiers. \n2. Use disaggregated data to create equitable\, student-centered strategies for academic and behavioral success. \n3.
